EXPRESS 2 is engineered for seamless, permanent installation on any buoy, regardless of its manufacturer or marine infrastructure.

This cutting-edge technology offers real-time visualisation of buoy locations on ECDIS, chartplotter, or VTS systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-the-minute information.

Our innovative kit facilitates quick and straightforward installation, enabling immediate access to buoy positions and empowering proactive responses by mariners and VTS centres to changing conditions.

Notably, the unique EXPRESS Lantern Interface Module (LIM) efficiently manages power from the buoy or other DC sources, ensuring the EXPRESS 2’s internal battery remains consistently charged for extended durations.

Moreover, all cables are encased in UV-stable material, ensuring long-term reliability even in exposed conditions.

Low cost, small, highly effective size

Using certified AIS AtoN Type 1 transmissions DAS EXPRESS 2 will continuously transmit the exact GPS location of the buoy to both your VTS centre display as well as on the chart display of all nearby vessels as a vital navigation aid. The lantern interface module enables DAS EXPRESS 2 to connect to any lantern and provide continuous monitoring to detect and report a malfunction. This ensures you always know that your buoy is in the correct location, the lantern working, and if not due to malfunction or sabotage you are instantly alerted.

Solar powered for years of maintenance free operation

DAS Express 2 is provided with 2 solar panels and brackets that will provide sufficient power to maintain the AIS AtoN battery in all conditions from the equator to the limits of the temperate regions. Each panel is rated at 10 W and the brackets and included fixings allow for flexible installation on the buoy’s structure. The proprietary Solar Panel bracket provides mechanical features to conveniently mount the Lantern Interface Module.

Fully integrated stand-alone AIS AtoN engineered to operate in even the most extreme conditions.

All electronics, including GPS and AIS/VHF are fully sealed within the toughened enclosure. DAS EXPRESS 2 can operate autonomously for years at a time using its own internal rechargeable battery connected to the provided solar panels .
